MORR Transportation Consulting Ltd. developed Winnipeg’s first Road Safety Strategic Action Plan, which was later approved by City Council as the new direction for road safety in Winnipeg. Founded on the Safe System approach and multidisciplinary in nature, the Road Safety Strategic Action Plan sets the direction and pace of Winnipeg’s road safety investments over the next five years. It features targeted and proven initiatives that will help Winnipeg meet its road safety goal of a 20% reduction in road-related fatalities and serious injuries, addressing five key focus areas: intersections, pedestrians, cyclists, speed, and safety culture.
