MORR Transportation Consulting Ltd. developed a pedestrian counting strategy for the downtown of Winnipeg that details both the continuous and short-duration count program. The strategy recommended where, when, and for how long to count pedestrians using automated pedestrian counters, quantified the expected error associated with the expansion of short-duration counts, and analysed the resulting pedestrian traffic periodicities.
